The Norfolk Neptunes played in the Continental Football League (CoFL) from 1966 to 1969 and the Atlantic Coast Football League (ACFL) in 1970 and 1971. The Neptunes were one of the most successful minor league football leagues of all time, both at the gate and on the field.
